Who are we?
Christian
First and foremost, we give all glory to God and give the preeminence to Jesus Christ at Damascus Road.
The faces behind Damascus Road are Ben and Cherry.
We are both born again Christians, and keen to share the good news with you.
Family
We are a husband and wife team, who work together and adventure together.
Free time includes camping, surfing and painting.
Professionals
We come from broad professional backgrounds.
Cherry is a university-qualified Design and Technology Teacher. She also teaches graphics technology to high school students.
Ben has worked in IT, law, project management in light manufacturing and operations management of a national industrial wholesaler.
Australian
Damascus Road is 100% owned and operated by Australians -- Ben and Cherry.
We operate from our Studio and Workshop space in Sydney, Australia.

Some of the last words of the Lord Jesus Christ were:
Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. (Mark 16:15)
Sharing the gospel is fundamental to being a Christian.
Making shirts!
We began our journey by designing a gospel tee shirt for ourselves, and getting someone else to print it.
Then someone asked us to design one for them. When they saw it, they loved it and showed others.
Enabling Witnessing
We see that there are plenty of Christians who want to share the gospel, but find it intimidating.
We want our apparel to offer a stepping stone to help Christians build confidence and start conversations to share the gospel.
Design Process
Open Bible
We begin our design in the Bible. We seek God personally and pray for his leading. Designs often seem to fall out of the pages of Scripture, glory to God!
Inspiration often comes when we are having our personal devotions. So now we always keep a sketch book at the ready!
Creative Process
Preliminary ideas are noted in our sketch books, then discussed as a team.
Designs then move to Cherry's section where she works with a variety of digital design tools to transform ideas into artworks.
We revise and finalise our designs and colourways together, ready for production.
Not wordly or 'in-your-face'
We create original designs, as we seek the Lord for his guidance.
Our design philosophy specifically avoids graphics that rehash worldly themes.
Neither are our designs loud or 'in-your-face'.
We trust they are an answer for the hope that is within you, presented in a meek way.
Production
Quality Materials
Our production philosophy centres around high quality.
Our tees are 100% pure cotton, of highest grade internationally.
They might be the most comfy shirt you've ever felt!
Graphics
Our graphics are printed using industry-leading technologies and applied directly to the garments.
They are not printed directly onto the garments, nor screen printed in the traditional way, nor embroidered. All of these methods have considerable limitations.
We can do fine lines, colour gradients and in super high vibrancy!
Once you see our garments in person, you may never go back!
In House
We like to do as much as we can in our own production Workshop.
We don't outsource production using a print-on-demand service.
We decorate the products ourselves, which allows us greater quality control and more creative garment decoration methods.
We even sew in our own Damascus Road garment tags.
Biblical Ethics
What's that mean?
We seek our and prioritise materials and methods which honour God.
By this, we also love our neighbours and are responsible with our natural resources.
Others call these ideas Ethics and Sustainability.
Textile Workers
Workers who make our tees, hoodies and work shirts are protected from working under compulsion, for excessive hours or in unsafe conditions.
They are required to be paid the legal minimum wage or more.

Fabrics
Our tees are made from responsibly sourced cotton, which means a better product today and in the future.

Graphics
Our graphics are printed using water-based non-toxic inks, which is good for you and the environment.
(Certified OEKO-TEX 100 against harmful chemicals)

Our shipping partners are 100% carbon neutral in all our deliveries.

Our mailer bags are 100% compostable.
